| It is a beautifully produced
magazine and both from your letter as well as the magazine, I am convinced that Peru is a
very attractive tourist destination. I hope you will encourage your Government to make
every effort to attract tourists form the USA, Canada and Europe as these regions are much
nearer to Peru than East Asia which is approximately half-way round the world from Peru.
It is possible to encourage tourists from East Asia to visit Peru but it will require a
much greater effort and the support of your national airline plus other american airlines.
One of the major bottle-necks of the tourist industry is the lack of flights into and out
